Cabbage Soup Weight Loss Diet

If there is a special event in the near future for which you absolutely need to loose some access weight the Cabbage Soup Weight Loss Plan is what you need to try. Although this diet will not get you the long term result you want, there is a claim that you will loose 10 to 15 pounds in your first week. There are quite a number of recipes out there for this “Magic Soup” the idea behind all of them is the same. For seven days or so, you can eat as much of this soup as you want and lose that extra weight that you don’t. Since this diet does not provide all the necessary nutrients it is important that no one stay on the Cabbage Soup Diet for long periods of time. Yet he quick weight loss will undoubtedly encourage a more safe and proper long term commitment by the person to loose more weight and live a healthy and long life.

Cabbage Soup Recipe:

6 Large green onions
2 Green peppers
1 to 2 Cans of tomatoes (diced or whole)
1 Bunch of celery,
1/2 Head of cabbage
3 Carrots
1 Package of Lipton Onion Soup mix
1 to 2 Cubes of bouillon (optional)
1 48 oz. Can of V8juice (optional)
1 10 oz. Container of mushrooms (optional)

You can also season the soup with special tastes of salt, pepper, parsley, curry,garlic powder, and others for the taste you like.

Making the Soup:

1. Slice all of the green onions and put them into a pot and begin to saute with cooking spray.
2. Cut the stem ends off the green peppers, cut them in half, take out the seeds and membrane. Proceed to cut the green peppers into bite size pieces and add to the pot.
3. Take the outer leafs layers off of the cabbage, and also cut into bite size pieces, and add to the pot with the rest.
4. Clean the carrots, cut into bite size pieces, and add them to the pot as well.
5. (Optional) Now you can also add thickly sliced mushrooms into the mix depending on your liking.
6. (Optional) For a soup that is spicy you should now add a small amount of curry or cayenne pepper.
7. (Optional) You can add chicken or beef bouillon cubes, which contain salt and other flavors, for the right seasonings that suits your taste buds.
8. Finally add in about 12 cups of water (or 8 cups of water and the 48 oz. can of V8 juice).
9. Cover the pot with a lid and put the heat on low. Then let the soup cook for about two hours, and when done season it further if necessary.

During the SEVEN days you can eat ALL the soup you want, WHENEVER you want it.

The 7-Day Plan:

Day 1 – Any fruit you want except for bananas and soup
Day 2 – All the veggies you want, a baked potato with some butter for dinner and soup
Day 3 – A combination of days 1 and 2 but NO potato and soup
Day 4 – Up to 6 bananas, skim milk and soup
Day 5 – 10 to 20 ounces of beef, a can of tomatoes and soup
Day 6 – All the beef and vegetables you want and soup
Day 7 – Brown rice, unsweetened fruit juices and vegetables and of course soup

During this diet plan you should try to drink at least 6 to 8 glasses of water each day. Make sure not to eat ANY bread or drink ANY alcoholic or carbonated beverages (even if they are diet). If at any point during the day you get at all hungry you can of course
